Our Glamping Site

This rural site is set on a livery yard at the edge of a beautiful rural village. The site offers just two bell tents that we are excited to be able to offer for your next glamping break. Both the tents are situated behind a large hedge that gives privacy from the movement of the yard and enjoy beautiful scenic views with the sunset directly in front of you.

Each tent can sleep up to five people on luxury airbeds that look and feel like a real bed. They are equipped with all your bedding and extra blankets for you to snuggle under the stars listening to the owls hooting and the fire crackling.

Electricity is supplied in both tents with a lamp for lighting and extra plug holes for charging etc. Both of the tents come with a fire pit/grill to cosy up to and even cook up a BBQ. A few logs are are supplied and more can be purchased on site if required. There is a communal bathroom with an electric shower and toilet for your use, please bring your own towels. For cooking, there is also a shared kitchen with a gas hob, toaster, fridge-freezer and microwave for you to use along with all the utensils you would need. Tea and coffee are also supplied for that much needed first brew of the day.

Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times, but there is an enclosed arena that can be used for them to stretch their legs.

Four stables are also available for your horse during your stay, this includes straw bedding and turnout in the field by the tents. These are separate from the livery stables and fields for your peace of mind.

Keen walkers are going to be spoilt for choice. The Whitfield Valley Nature Reserve is ten minutes away and is also great for cyclists and horse riders alike, with friendly ducks to see along the way. There is also Greenway Bank Country Park just five minutes away and the famous Peak District National Park only 20 minutes from the site.

For thrill-seekers, the famous Alton Towers is a 30 minute drive away. Be spun around on The Smiler, get frightened on The Curse of Alton Manor ride or take a spin on the Wicker Man, one of the world's most immersive rides. There is also the Alton Towers Waterpark, great on a warm summer's day.

Trentham Estate is also just 25 minutes away, great for all the family. You can take a boat ride out on the lake, take a wildlife safari, play a game of disc golf, hop on the miniature train, browse the shopping village and much more!

We had a lovely night stay.

The tents are a good size and well equipped. The beds were comfortable for an airbed and the spare blankets made it really cozy.

The kitchen and bathroom where also well equipped (even had some milk in the fridge for a brew!)

Overall, it's good value for money. Friendly hosts, and the views are fantastic.

We stayed at Smith's Yard for the weekend as two families with 3 children (aged 3-5). Whilst the weather wasn't kind, we had a wonderful weekend.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities were particularly useful. The tents were well kitted out with comfortable beds, blankets and everything that we would need for a fire. We took along our own wood, but it was available to buy when there. The tents were hooked up to electricity which was a welcomed surprise!

The winning feature for us was the privacy. The fact that we had the field to ourselves for the whole weekend allowed the children to explore and run around without the worry of bothering other campers.

We would love to revisit, hopefully with better weather!

We didn't explore the local area, but we did make it to one of the local pubs. The Top Pub was welcoming and the food was lovely.

The tent is good enough for five of us to stay. Provided all the necessary equipment in the kitchen. The toilet is clean. Very close to horses in a stable.

Good experience and will recommend to friends
